What Is HPV?
- HPV is a group of viruses that can cause cervical, anal, throat, and other cancers.
- It’s spread through intimate skin-to-skin contact.
- Most people will get HPV at some point, but vaccination can prevent the most harmful strains.
Who Should Get the HPV Vaccine?
- Kinney Drugs can immunize those ages 18+.
- The vaccine is recommended for:
- Children starting at age 11–12 (can begin as early as age 9)
- Teens and young adults through age 26 who haven’t been vaccinated
- Adults ages 27–45 may be eligible based on individual risk and clinical decision-making
